- Security Implementation: Designing, developing, and implementing security measures for embedded systems to protect against cyber threats and vulnerabilities
- Risk Assessment: Identifying potential security risks and vulnerabilities within embedded systems through analysis and testing
- Secure Architecture: Developing and implementing secure architectures and protocols for embedded devices to safeguard sensitive data and functionalities
- Encryption and Authentication: Implementing encryption methods and authentication mechanisms to secure communication and access control in embedded systems
- Code Analysis: Conducting code reviews and analysis to identify and mitigate security flaws or vulnerabilities in embedded software
- Compliance and Standards: Ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations related to embedded systems security (eg, IoT security standards)
- Incident Response: Developing incident response plans and procedures to address security breaches or cyber attacks on embedded systems
- Skills and Qualifications:Embedded Systems Knowledge: Strong understanding of embedded systems architecture, hardware, and software
- Cybersecurity Expertise: Proficiency in cybersecurity principles, protocols, encryption techniques, and secure coding practices
- Risk Assessment: Ability to conduct risk assessments and security audits for embedded systems
- Programming Skills: Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in embedded systems like C, C++, or assembly language
- Security Tools: Familiarity with security testing tools and frameworks for analyzing and identifying vulnerabilities
