Job Description
- Complete charge of plant electrical systems, ensuring maximum availability of Engine and auxiliary equipment.
- Ensure timely availability of manpower and equipment resolution of issues to achieve trouble-free engine running.
- Comply with safety standards, coordinate with clients for resources, take corrective actions, and monitor staff to avoid accidents and damage to property and life.
- Independently troubleshoot electrical equipment installed in the power plant and collaborate with field service engineers and customers.
- Prepare maintenance reports and comply with safety procedures within Wrtsil guidelines.
- Take complete charge of gas engine plant electrical maintenance and 110KV switchyard maintenance activities.
Job Requirements
- Graduate/Diploma in Electrical Engineering with C certificate mandatory.
- Basic knowledge about Generator, Transformer, Circuit Breaker & Motor, Power system protection, Switchyard Equipment, WECS & UNIC control system, Earthing & lighting system, High & low voltage AC system, DC system.
- Functional knowledge and hands-on experience in Operation & maintenance of DG sets & its Auxiliaries, 110KV Switchyard O&M, common problems & troubleshooting in electrical & control systems.
- Preventive/scheduled maintenance of electrical systems and modification/upgradation for performance improvement.
- Maintain required inventory for smooth operation of DG & Switchyard Equipment.
- Knowledge of technical and commercial contractual terms, computer proficiency in MS Office, and OHSAS 18001.
- Problem-solving and analytical skills, knowledge about Emergency Preparedness and Response to Emergencies, and safety systems in power plants.
- Familiarity with the latest Wrtsil technical developments / modifications / improvements.
- Experience: 4-5 years in O&M of liquid fuel/Gas Engine operated power plants with Switchyard operation.
