EHS Specialist Role Overview:

As the EHS Specialist you will work onsite to evaluate and implement creative safety solutions. The primary responsibility will be leading the development of Safety Management framework in the company s office buildings. The candidate will also partner with Facilities Managers and Security Team in the development (minimal) and implementation (most of the time) of localized safety and health programs.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist the APAC Regional Safety manager in the development of company s Health and Safety Framework within the offices

Assist and advise the Facilities Management, Security and other business units in implementing Google s health and safety guidelines, programs, and training

Co-ordinate emergency response program delivery and ensure such trainings are delivered and completed (First Aid/CPR training, Building evacuation team, general emergency response planning)

Coordinate safety and health risk assessments with local and remote facilities teams; recommend corrective actions and assist the relevant stakeholders to achieve closure.

Conduct hazard and incident assessments and provide mitigation guidance in accordance to established business practices and ensure compliance with regulations

In addition, perform any other job/task as assigned from time to time pertaining to Health Safety.

Requirements:

Graduate with 5+ years of experience in Health, Safety, Security. Experience in performing a similar role in a company with office-based setting is an advantage.

Specialized diploma/certification in Safety.

Knowledge of local state safety, security regulations and standards.

Good English speaking and writing skills.

Self-motivated and work independently.

Strong skills in program management, critical thinking, problem solving, and relationship- management.

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and ability to perform in a highly complex and ambiguous environment.

Demonstrated ability to organize, motivate and lead teams, drive change, and interact cross functionally

Ability to express ideas or facts in a clear and persuasive manner

Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to interact with internal and external customers, and all levels of the organization

Excellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability to facilitate and conduct presentations with large and small groups

Ability to manage and resolve conflicts and disagreements in a constructive manner

Excellent problem solving and analytic skills.

Excellent communication, influencing, negotiating and engagement skills

Basic IT skills with a working knowledge of the range of MS Office packages

Good presentation skills and comfortable to speak in front of large groups of people.

Ability to prepare clear and concise reports.

A good understanding of equality issues within an organization.

Ability to interact positively with key internal as well as external stakeholders.
