Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Echo Technician to perform high-quality echocardiographic studies in a fast-paced multispecialty hospital. The ideal candidate will support cardiologists by acquiring accurate cardiac images and ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout diagnostic procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform transthoracic echocardiography (2D, M-mode, Doppler, Color Doppler).
- Assist in transesophageal echocardiography (TEE) and stress echocardiography when required.
- Prepare patients for procedures, explain the process, and ensure comfort.
- Operate and maintain echocardiography equipment efficiently.
- Acquire and document high-quality diagnostic images for cardiologist interpretation.
- Monitor patient vitals during procedures and respond to emergencies if needed.
- Maintain accurate patient records and reports.
- Follow infection control protocols and ensure patient safety standards.
- Coordinate with cardiologists, nurses, and other departments for seamless patient care.
- Participate in quality assurance and continuous improvement activities.
Qualifications Requirements:
- Diploma / Bachelor s degree in Cardiac Technology, Radiology, or related field.
- Certification in Echocardiography (preferred).
- 1 3 years of experience in echocardiography (freshers with strong training may apply).
- Knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and imaging techniques.
- Familiarity with TEE and stress echo procedures is an advantage.
Skills Competencies:
- Strong technical and imaging skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and patient-handling skills.
- Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.
- Basic life support (BLS) knowledge preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced hospital environment.
Work Environment:
- Multispecialty hospital setting with exposure to diverse patient cases.
- Rotational shifts, including emergency/on-call duties if required.
