Job Summary

We are looking for a Senior Dynatrace Engineer / Observability Specialist with strong hands-on experience in Dynatrace Managed environments. The role involves managing and supporting the Dynatrace platform, building dashboards, configuring alerts, integrating Dynatrace with enterprise tools such as ServiceNow, and providing observability solutions across modern cloud and containerized applications.

The ideal candidate should combine strong Dynatrace technical expertise with excellent stakeholder management, communication, troubleshooting, and cross-team coordination skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage, support, and maintain Dynatrace Managed platform and monitoring environments.
• Design and develop Dynatrace dashboards, custom views, alerts, and monitoring solutions.
• Configure and maintain Dynatrace integrations, including ServiceNow and other enterprise tools.
• Monitor application, infrastructure, cloud, and containerized environments using Dynatrace.
• Troubleshoot application and infrastructure issues using Dynatrace monitoring, logs, metrics, traces, and user experience data.
• Work closely with application teams, developers, infrastructure teams, project managers, and business stakeholders.
• Understand application architecture, business processes, and transaction flows to investigate issues from both technical and functional perspectives.
• Support monitoring of applications running on Kubernetes, Red Hat OpenShift, Linux/Unix, and cloud environments.
• Identify monitoring gaps and recommend improvements to application observability and customer experience monitoring.
• Coordinate incident/problem investigations across multiple technology teams and drive issues toward resolution.
• Independently lead technical discussions, challenge assumptions, ask relevant questions, and communicate findings to stakeholders.
• Contribute to automation and deployment activities using Ansible.
• Support continuous improvement of monitoring standards, alerting, dashboards, and observability practices.

Mandatory Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with Dynatrace.
• Mandatory: Dynatrace Managed experience – candidates with only Dynatrace SaaS experience may not be suitable.
• Experience creating and managing Dynatrace dashboards and alerts.
• Experience with Dynatrace integrations, preferably ServiceNow.
• Strong Linux/Unix knowledge.
• Good understanding of Kubernetes and/or Red Hat OpenShift.
• Experience monitoring modern, distributed, or containerized applications.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to independently coordinate with multiple teams and drive technical discussions.

Good to Have

• Ansible automation experience.
• Python scripting.
• Cloud platform exposure – AWS / Azure / GCP.
• Application Performance Monitoring (APM) / Observability experience.
• Project coordination or project management experience.
• Experience with business process understanding and functional troubleshooting.
• Exposure to logs, metrics, distributed tracing, and customer experience monitoring.

Candidate Profile

• 8+ years of overall IT experience with significant experience in Dynatrace/Observability.
• Strong preference for candidates with deep Dynatrace Managed platform experience.
• Should be technically hands-on while also comfortable working with business and technology stakeholders.
• Should demonstrate ownership, proactive communication, and the ability to work independently across teams.
• Strong candidates with slightly lower overall experience may also be considered based on Dynatrace expertise, technical depth, and stakeholder management capabilities.
