Electrical Maintenance

• Carry out preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of electrical equipment in the DRI Plant.
• Maintain motors, transformers, switchgears, MCCs, PCCs, VFDs, soft starters, and control panels.
• Troubleshoot electrical faults and restore equipment to normal operation with minimum downtime.
• Perform cable laying, wiring, termination, and insulation testing.
• Monitor and maintain lighting systems and power distribution networks.

Equipment Monitoring & Inspection

• Conduct regular inspections of motors, drives, panels, and electrical installations.
• Monitor electrical parameters such as voltage, current, power factor, and load balancing.
• Identify potential issues and initiate corrective action.

Safety & Compliance

• Follow all electrical safety procedures, LOTO (Lock Out Tag Out), and permit-to-work systems.
• Ensure compliance with statutory regulations and company safety standards.
• Use proper PPE during maintenance activities.
• Report unsafe conditions and participate in safety audits.

Breakdown Handling

• Attend emergency breakdowns promptly.
• Analyze root causes of electrical failures and recommend corrective measures.
• Coordinate with operations and mechanical maintenance teams for quick resolution.
