Job Description
Job Description
We are seeking a mature, self-driven . NET Developer to join our engineering team. You will design, build, and maintain software solutions that support engineering and operations teams across a global Windows estate.
The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience across software development, scripting, legacy modernization, and modern delivery practices including CI/CD and responsible use of AI coding assistants. You will lead requirement sessions, deliver end-to-end solutions with minimal supervision, own the correctness of everything you ship, and communicate progress and risks clearly to stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain robust C#. NET solutions, including Windows Services, WPF and WinForms clients, console applications, and inter-process communication using Named Pipes.
- Build server-side components using ASP. NET Web API and Web Forms that interface with Active Directory, Azure, Intune, SQL Server, and SCCM/MECM.
- Modernize legacy VBScript and classic scripting into maintainable C#. NET services and libraries.
- Implement REST and RPC APIs, including ITSM integrations (OAuth, incident creation, attachments) and Microsoft Graph API-based compliance and inventory feeds.
- Package, sign, and release MSI installers, and own end-to-end deployment through UAT, endpoint management, and production rollout.
- Automate file distribution and multi-server synchronization workflows that feed downstream endpoint management processes.
- Own build and release automation using CI/CD pipelines, with PR validation, quality gates, automated tests, and staged deployments.
- Use AI coding assistants responsibly to accelerate development, applying rigorous review, testing, and full ownership of every line shipped.
- Take end-to-end ownership of assigned modules: plan, merge cleanly from mainline, test thoroughly before handoff, and provide clear evidence of validation.
- Produce design documents, test evidence, and release notes; follow disciplined branching, PR, and versioning practices.
- Provide L3 engineering support on tools you own, driving root-cause analysis without waiting for direction.
- Contribute to all stages of the SDLC following Agile methodologies and manage multiple priorities effectively. Qualifications
- 6+ years of hands-on C#. NET development, with a track record of delivering production-grade solutions with minimal oversight.
- Solid experience with SQL Server (or MySQL), Azure, and PowerShell.
- Exposure to JavaScript, Python, or other scripting languages.
- Experience developing web applications and working with patterns such as MVC.
- Experience integrating with ITSM platforms such as ServiceNow.
- Strong grasp of OOP principles and common design patterns.
- Hands-on experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (YAML-based), covering build, test, artifact management, and release.
- Practical use of AI coding assistants as a productivity multiplier, with the judgment to accept, refine, or reject AI-generated code and ownership of its correctness.
- Awareness of responsible AI usage, including data classification and prompt hygiene with third-party AI tools.
- Proven ability to test rigorously, capture evidence, and communicate status clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Maturity to ask clarifying questions early, push back constructively, and avoid rework from rushed or unmerged changes.
Nice to Have:
- Exposure to SCCM/MECM, Intune, and Active Directory, including reading object attributes for client-side logic.
- Basic understanding of Linux environments.
- Exposure to building small AI agents or low-code AI workflows, and familiarity with RAG concepts or integrating LLM calls into . NET applications.
