Job Description
Role & responsibilities
- Assist the Head Dockmaster in planning and coordinating daily docking, undocking, and mooring activities, ensuring alignment with project schedules
- Monitor vessel movement within the dock area, overseeing proper mooring, positioning, and securing of vessels to maintain stability and safety.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols for all dock operations, ensuring compliance with local and industry regulations
- Manage the inventory of docking equipment, mooring lines, bollards, and related resources, ensuring availability and operational readiness
- Prepare for and manage emergency situations, including vessel distress, equipment failure, or extreme weather conditions, ensuring all actions comply with the emergency response plan.
