Location: Pallavaram/ Thirumudivakkam

Role: DIY Teacher (Handicraft and Technical Teacher)

Key Responsibilities :

• Prepare and deliver lesson plans and activity samples for students.

• Conduct engaging classes through discussions, demonstrations, direct teaching, and hands-on activities.

• Adapt activities to meet the learning needs of students with different abilities, interests, and proficiency levels.

• Assess student performance as per standards set by the central academic team.

• Organize and conduct workshops, exhibitions, events, and assessments.

• Maintain a safe, disciplined, and supportive classroom environment.

• Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress, behavior, and development.

• Continuously improve teaching skills through training programs, workshops, and self-learning.

• Attend all training sessions scheduled by the organization.

Required Qualifications :

• Bachelor's degree in Science Education or a related field.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Basic computer proficiency.

• For Technical DIY Teacher: Diploma/Degree in Engineering preferred.

• For Handicraft DIY Teacher: Degree/Diploma in ATD, BFA, Art & Craft, or Handicraft.

DIY Program Overview :

The DIY (Do-It-Yourself) program at Orchids focuses on project-based learning where students design and create models using materials such as cardboard, wood, MDF, acrylic sheets, and 3D-printing tools. The program develops creativity, engineering thinking, planning, safe tool handling, and problem-solving skills.
