Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Regional Sales Manager to drive business growth, market expansion, and channel development across the assigned territory.
The incumbent will be responsible for achieving sales targets, strengthening distributor networks, managing key accounts, and expanding market share for agrochemical and crop protection products.
The role requires strong commercial acumen, extensive exposure to the agrochemical industry, and proven expertise in dealer management, territory planning, and farmer engagement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Business Development:
- Develop and execute regional sales strategies aligned with business objectives and growth plans.
- Drive achievement of annual, quarterly, and monthly sales targets for agrochemical products.
- Identify new business opportunities, emerging markets, and customer segments to expand market penetration.
- Build sustainable business relationships with distributors, channel partners, and institutional customers.
- Increase product adoption and market share across the assigned geography.
Channel Management:
- Develop, strengthen, and manage an efficient distribution network.
- Appoint and monitor distributors, dealers, and retail partners within the region.
- Ensure adequate product availability and inventory management across channels.
- Review distributor performance periodically and implement improvement initiatives.
- Support channel partners with training, marketing campaigns, and business development activities.
Market Development:
- Conduct market analysis to understand competitor activities, pricing trends, and customer requirements.
- Identify growth opportunities for existing and new product portfolios.
- Develop territory-specific sales plans and demand forecasts.
- Gather customer insights and provide feedback to product management and leadership teams.
Farmer Engagement & Product Promotion:
- Organize farmer meetings, demonstrations, field days, and promotional campaigns.
- Work closely with agronomy and technical teams to support product positioning and customer education.
- Increase brand visibility and awareness through targeted marketing initiatives.
- Address customer concerns and provide technical guidance regarding product applications.
Team Management:
- Lead, mentor, and motivate the regional sales team to achieve business objectives.
- Monitor sales performance, establish KPIs, and conduct periodic reviews.
- Support capability building through training and coaching initiatives.
- Foster a high-performance culture focused on customer satisfaction and business growth.
Forecasting & Reporting:
- Prepare sales forecasts, budgets, and business plans for the region.
- Monitor sales trends and provide regular updates to management.
- Analyze business performance metrics and recommend corrective actions where required.
- Ensure timely collection of receivables and maintain healthy channel finances.
