Devops Lead

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage scalable, secure, and resilient cloud infrastructure on GCP.

• Architect, deploy, and maintain Kubernetes environments using Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) .

• Build, optimize, and manage automated CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, or Google Cloud Build .

• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform and related automation frameworks.

• Implement and enhance monitoring, logging, observability, and alerting solutions to ensure platform reliability.

• Define and drive Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) best practices, including SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets.

• Lead incident management, root cause analysis (RCA), problem management, and disaster recovery initiatives.

• Optimize cloud infrastructure performance, availability, scalability, and cost efficiency.

• Ensure adherence to security, compliance, and governance standards across cloud environments.

• Collaborate with development teams to improve deployment processes, release management, and application reliability.

• Mentor and guide DevOps and SRE engineers while promoting automation and operational excellence.

Required Skills Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), Cloud Engineering, or Platform Engineering .

• Strong hands-on expertise with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services, including:

  • Compute Engine

  • Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE)

  • Cloud Functions / Cloud Run

  • Cloud Storage

  • BigQuery

  • Pub/Sub

  • IAM

  • VPC Networking Security

• Extensive experience with:

  • Kubernetes

  • Docker

  • Terraform

  • Helm

  • Ansible

• Strong experience implementing and managing enterprise-scale CI/CD pipelines.

• Proficiency in scripting and automation using Python, Bash, Go, or Java .

• Strong understanding of Linux systems administration, networking concepts, and cloud security best practices.

• Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, Datadog, Splunk, or Google Cloud Operations Suite .

• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with multi-cloud or hybrid cloud environments.

• Hands-on knowledge of service mesh technologies such as Istio .

• Experience implementing GitOps practices using tools such as ArgoCD or Flux .

• GCP Professional Certifications (Professional Cloud Architect, Professional DevOps Engineer) are highly preferred.

• Experience leading technical teams and driving cloud transformation initiatives.
