Intellinum Inc is seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to join our team and manage our cloud infrastructure on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). The ideal candidate will be responsible for automating SDLC processes, managing virtual machines, deploying Java and web applications, and ensuring optimal performance, scalability, and security of our cloud environment. This role requires hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), containerization, and monitoring tools.
Responsibilities:
- Automate Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes using CI/CD pipelines with tools like Jenkins.
- Manage version control using Git, including repository management, branching strategies, and collaboration via platforms such as Bitbucket and GitHub.
- Collaborate closely with development and operations teams, utilizing Jira for task management, issue tracking, and project coordination.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts using Python and Shell scripting to streamline processes and manage environments efficiently.
- Implement and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Oracle Cloud Resource Manager.
- Containerize applications using Docker and orchestrate container deployments using Kubernetes for efficient scaling and management.
- Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), including VM provisioning, deployment of Java and web applications, and ensuring high performance, scalability, and security.
- Set up and maintain monitoring and logging solutions using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, and Oracle Clouds Observability services.
- Administer and manage MySQL and Oracle Cloud Autonomous Transaction Processing (ATP) databases, including automation of backups, scaling, and performance monitoring.
- Troubleshoot and respond to incidents with a focus on rapid resolution and conducting thorough root cause analysis to prevent recurrence.
- Review application and system logs to identify issues and implement solutions for optimal system performance.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or equivalent work experience. Relevant industry certifications are a plus.
- Strong experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) , including VM management, deployment, and cloud resource optimization
- Proficiency in CI/CD automation using Jenkins or similar tools
- Hands-on experience with Git version control and platforms like Bitbucket or GitHub
- Strong scripting skills in Python and Shell for automation and process optimization
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or Ansible
- Expertise in containerization with Docker and container orchestration using Kubernetes
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Zabbix, or ELK stack
- Database management experience with MySQL and Oracle Autonomous Database (ATP)
- Knowledge of cloud networking and security best practices
- Experience with Jira for task management and issue tracking
- Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to perform root cause analysis and resolve incidents quickly
- Experience deploying and managing Java applications and web applications in cloud environments
