DevOps Engineer

Essential functions

DevSecOps/IaC Automation:

Jira, Jenkins, GitHub, Terraform, Cloud Deployment Manager, Python

CoE Collaboration:

Help align program workstream deliverables and timing e.g. wall-walk

Determine cloud security and networking requirements for overlay

Establish CI/CD and Security Tooling standards Jenkins, GitHub, Artifactory, Veracode, Twistlock, etc.

Prepare for day 2 SRE with integrated alerting, monitoring, logging, distributed tracing, backups, etc. (and collaboratively select services and tools)

Epics/Features for Backlog and Testing:

Authentication and Authorization, API Security, DR Patterns, VPC Standards, CICD/IaC Pipeline Implementation, Go-Live to Prod MVPs, Day 2 Ops MVPs, GKE Container Mgmt MVP, Security Incident Response

Qualifications

57 years of experience in DevOps.

Strong experience with Linux/Unix administration.

Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

Experience with Docker and Kubernetes and Terraform.

Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools such as:

Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools:

Proficiency in scripting using Bash, Python, PowerShell, or Shell scripting.

Experience with version control systems such as Git.

Knowledge of networking concepts, DNS, Load Balancers, SSL/TLS, and firewalls.

Experience with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, Datadog, Splunk, or New Relic.

Understanding of security best practices and DevSecOps principles.
