Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage, deploy, and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure and on-premises environments.

  • Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for application deployments.

  • Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, and other automation tools.

  • Deploy and manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.

  • Monitor system performance, availability, and security using industry-standard monitoring tools.

  • Research, diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve infrastructure and application-related issues.

  • Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for incidents and implement preventive measures.

  • Manage application logs, backups, and maintenance activities.

  • Configure and troubleshoot load balancers, preferably Nginx.

  • Troubleshoot networking issues related to DNS, routing, VPNs, firewalls, SSL certificates, and connectivity.

  • Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams in an Agile environment.

  • Escalate unresolved technical issues to the appropriate internal teams.

  • Create and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and knowledge base articles.

  • Ensure adherence to security best practices across infrastructure and applications.

Required Skills Experience

  • 2 5 years of professional experience as a DevOps Engineer, System Engineer, or similar role.

  • Strong proficiency in Python and Python testing best practices.

  • Experience working in Agile development environments.

  • Hands-on experience with AWS services including EC2, ECS, EKS, ECR, Route 53, SES, ElastiCache, RDS, Redshift, and CloudFormation.

  • Strong experience with infrastructure automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible, and Jenkins.

  • Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.

  • Experience with CI/CD tools including Jenkins, Travis CI, Drone, Mule, and Spinnaker.

  • Strong understanding of Git, DNS, TCPDUMP, CDN concepts, SSL, firewalls, and networking fundamentals.

  • Solid knowledge of VPCs, subnetting, VPNs, routing, and cloud networking.

  • Experience deploying and supporting microservices-based applications.

  • Experience working with high-traffic, globally distributed systems.

  • Knowledge of software security best practices.

  • Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as CloudWatch, Datadog, PagerDuty, Sentry, Prometheus, and Icinga.

  • Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Skills

  • AWS Solutions Architect Associate or Professional certification.

  • Experience with distributed systems and large-scale architectures.

  • Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases.

  • Experience with caching technologies.

  • Hands-on experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, and ELK Stack.

  • Ability to quickly learn and implement new open-source technologies.

  • Strong team collaboration and stakeholder management skills.
