Job Description
Lease Packet is seeking a highly skilled DevOps Engineer to join our team. As a part of our operations, you will collaborate with software developers, system operators, and other IT staff members to manage code releases and deployments.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and optimize continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) pipelines for a wide range of projects and technologies.
- Work closely with the development team to integrate new deployment processes and strategies to meet our business needs.
- Monitor, analyze, and manage the health of servers, databases, and applications, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Implement automation tools and frameworks (CI/CD pipelines) for the efficient release and deployment of software.
- Manage version control systems and automate code deployment and management processes.
- Design and implement secure, robust, and scalable infrastructure solutions on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) according to industry best practices.
- Conduct system troubleshooting and problem-solving across platform and application domains, ensuring issues are promptly resolved.
- Ensure critical system security through the use of best in class cloud security solutions.
- Stay abreast of emerging technology trends and best practices in DevOps, software development, and system architecture.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant field.
- 3+ years of experience in a DevOps role, with a proven track record of developing and implementing software deployment strategies.
- Strong experience with Linux-based infrastructures, Linux/Unix administration, and AWS.
- Solid experience with database technologies (SQL/NoSQL) and web services.
- Proficient with git and git workflows.
- Working knowledge of scripting languages (Python, Perl, or Ruby).
- Strong experience with automation and configuration management tools (such as Puppet, Chef, or Ansible).
- Excellent understanding of continuous integration tools (such as Jenkins, Travis CI, or CircleCI).
- Knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a mindset towards building partnerships across teams.
