REQUIREMENT SUMMARY

The Desktop Support Engineer is a crucial role within the ITES sector, responsible for ensuring seamless operation and maintenance of desktop systems across the organization. Based in Mumbai, this position requires a Level 3 professional with 3-6 years of experience who can efficiently manage and resolve hardware and software issues.

Description

- 3-6 years of experience in desktop support or a similar role in the ITES sector.
- Proficiency in installing and configuring desktop operating systems and common applications.
- Strong troubleshooting skills for resolving hardware and software incidents.
- Experience with network configurations, including printer and peripheral device management.
- Ability to support mobile device configurations and manage VOIP and video conferencing setups.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with remote teams.
- Detail-oriented with strong documentation skills to maintain operational records.

Key Responsibilities

- Install and configure desktop operating systems, messaging clients, and applications like Adobe Acrobat and PkZIP.
- Troubleshoot and resolve desktop incidents and manage disk and folder sharing permissions.
- Provide hands-on support for remote central teams and assist with urgent support during off-hours in emergencies.
- Manage and resolve printer and scanner issues at user workstations and support basic configurations for mobile devices.
- Assist users in accessing applications and handle printer and network configuration issues at user desktops.
- Support and configure VOIP voice devices and set up video conferencing in meeting rooms.
- Maintain up-to-date documentation for operational procedures and new technology initiatives.
- Provide technical support for voice and video equipment, ensuring all systems are operational.

Requirements

• Bachelor's in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Rotational shift, occationally need help on Sat/ sun
