EHS&S- Deputy Manager

Job Description: -

Experience Required: 8+ years

Qualification Required: ADIS (Advance Diploma in Industrial Safety)/Post Graduate Diploma in Industrial Safety (PDIS) + Post Graduation in Env. Management + Certification in ISO 45001, ISO 14001, Graduate in Engineering stream (Electrical).

Role & Responsibilities

*Should have experience in Solar Industry

• Compliance & Regulations: Ensuring adherence to local, national, and international EHS regulations, including environmental permits, hazardous material handling, and workplace safety laws.
• Risk Assessment: Identifying potential hazards in manufacturing processes, including chemical exposure, electrical risks, and ergonomic concerns, and implementing mitigation measures.
• Incident Investigation: Conducting root cause analysis for workplace accidents, near-misses, and environmental incidents, and implementing corrective actions.
• Safety Training & Awareness: Organizing safety drills, training sessions, and toolbox talks for employees to promote a strong safety culture.
• Environmental Management: Monitoring air emissions, wastewater treatment, waste disposal, and energy consumption to ensure sustainable manufacturing operations.
• Emergency Preparedness: Developing and maintaining emergency response plans, including fire safety, chemical spill response, and medical emergencies.
• Workplace Inspections & Audits: Conducting regular safety audits, inspections, and compliance checks to maintain high safety standards.
• Contractor & Vendor Safety: Ensuring that third-party contractors and vendors comply with company EHS policies and procedures.
• ISO & EHS Certifications: Implementing and maintaining EHS management systems such as ISO 14001 (Environmental) and ISO 45001 (Occupational Health & Safety).
