A DGM Finance in an infrastructure consultancy organization is responsible for financial planning, project finance management, budgeting, statutory compliance, MIS reporting, taxation, and supporting large infrastructure projects such as highways, railways, metro, power, water, and urban development assignments.

Key Responsibilities
Financial Planning & Budgeting
- Prepare annual budgets, forecasts, and financial plans for consultancy projects.
- Monitor budget utilization and variance analysis.
- Support strategic financial decision-making for infrastructure projects.
Project Finance Management
- Manage project accounting for Highway / Railway / EPC/PMC/consultancy assignments.
- Track project costs, billing milestones, receivables, and profitability.
- Coordinate with project managers for financial control and reporting.
Accounts & Financial Reporting
- Ensure timely preparation of:
- Balance Sheet
- Profit & Loss Account
- Cash Flow Statements
- MIS Reports
- Receivables
- Maintain accurate books of accounts as per accounting standards.
Taxation & Compliance
- Handle:
- GST compliance
- TDS
- Income Tax matters
- Statutory audits
- Internal audits
- Ensure compliance with Companies Act and financial regulations.
Cash Flow & Treasury Management
- Monitor working capital requirements.
- Manage banking operations, fund flow, and liquidity planning.
- Coordinate with banks and financial institutions.
Client Billing & Receivables
- Supervise invoicing for consultancy assignments.
- Follow up on client payments and outstanding receivables.
- Ensure timely revenue recognition.
Payroll
- Salary Payment
- Reimbursements.
- Advances/ Loan / Misc. payments
Team Management
- Lead finance and accounts team.
- Train and mentor junior finance staff.
- Improve internal controls and financial processes.
Coordination & Stakeholder Management
- Liaise with:
- Government departments
- Auditors
- Banks
- Project teams
- Vendors and clients
Required Qualifications
- CA / CMA / M. Com/ CA-Inter.
- 1018 years of experience in finance & accounts
- Experience in infrastructure, engineering consultancy, EPC, or construction sector preferred
