Job Description
Responsibilities may include but are not limited to, confirm your Job Descriptions with the Interviewer:
- Delivery Operations:
- Pick up goods from the warehouse or designated location.
- Deliver items to customers addresses according to the delivery schedule.
- Ensure that the correct items are delivered to the right customers.
- Customer Service:
- Provide excellent customer service by being polite and professional.
- Handle customer inquiries and complaints in a courteous manner.
- Obtain customer signatures and payment where required.
- Route Planning:
- Plan the most efficient routes to ensure timely deliveries.
- Adjust routes based on traffic, weather conditions, and other factors.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Follow all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Maintain a clean and safe delivery vehicle.
- Report any accidents, injuries, or vehicle issues immediately to the supervisor.
- Record Keeping:
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and returns.
- Complete and submit delivery logs and reports.
- Ensure all delivery paperwork is correctly completed and handed over as required.
- Vehicle Maintenance:
- Perform regular checks on the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Keep the delivery vehicle clean and presentable at all times.
Qualifications:
- Plus two or equivalent.
- Valid driver s license with a clean driving record.
- Minimum 1 year of proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role.
- Familiarity with the local area and routes.
- Ability to work independently and handle stress on the road.
Work Environment:
- Must be able to work in various weather conditions.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy packages as required.
- Long periods of driving and potential for extended hours based on delivery schedule.
