Job Summary:
Orchids The International School is seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic Daycare Teacher to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective mathematics instruction to the
students.
Role & responsibilities
- Ensure the safety, security, and well-being of all children under supervision.
- Plan and conduct engaging activities that promote learning through play.
- Support children's social, emotional, language, and motor skill development.
- Maintain a warm, caring, and positive classroom environment.
- Assist children with daily routines such as meals, toileting, hygiene, rest time, and transitions.
- Observe and monitor children's behavior, development, and progress.
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding children's daily activities and well-being.
- Maintain accurate attendance and incident records.
- Ensure cleanliness, organization, and readiness of the daycare environment.
- Follow school/daycare policies, health and safety regulations, and child protection guidelines.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff to create a supportive learning environment.
- Participate in staff meetings, training programs, and school events as required.
Preferred candidate profile
- Bachelor's Degree, Diploma, or Certification in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Montessori Education, or a related field.
- Relevant experience in a daycare, preschool, kindergarten, or early years setting preferred.
- Knowledge of child development principles and age-appropriate teaching practices.
