Job Objective:

We are looking for an experienced and proactive MySQL Database Administrator to manage, optimize, and secure our mission-critical database infrastructure. This role spans cloud, on-premise, automation, performance tuning, observability, and collaboration with engineering and DevOps teams to support high-scale applications.Youll be responsible for building robust, scalable, and highly available MySQL environments that support global digital operations with zero downtime expectations.

Core Responsibilities& Requirements:

• Administer, monitor, and maintain MySQL databases to ensure high availability and performance.
• Perform database installation, configuration, upgrades, and patching.
• Optimize database performance through query tuning, indexing, and capacity planning.
• Implement and manage backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies.
• Design and support high-availability and replication architectures.
• Ensure database security, access control, encryption, and compliance standards.
• Automate database operations using scripts and Infrastructure-as-Code tools.
• Deploy and manage MySQL databases on cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Monitor databases using modern observability and alerting tools.
• Collaborate with DevOps, application, and infrastructure teams in Agile environments.
• Provide production support and participate in on-call rotations.
• Document database architecture, procedures, and best practices.

AI & Modern Technology Exposure (Preferred)

• Experience using AI-driven query optimization or monitoring tools.
• Exposure to AI/ML-ready data models and analytics-focused database design.
• Understanding of data pipelines for AI, BI, and predictive analytics.
• Familiarity with automation and monitoring tools powered by AI insights.

Candidate Profile Details

Essential Criteria

Education:

BE / B.Tech (in any stream)

OR

PG Degree IT/CS or equivalent

Certifications Required:- (Any One)

Oracle certified professional MySQL Developer/ Oracle Certified Associate My SQL/ MariaDB Certified Professional/ AWS Database Speciality/ Google Professional Data Engineer Or equivalent.

Experience:

• Minimum 4 years of experience in development of T-SQL / PL-SQL programming using MySQL.
• Work experience must include at least 2 turnkey projects as a DBD.

Desirable Skills & Experience

• Deep expertise in MySQL administration, replication, backups, and recovery
• Strong knowledge of query performance tuning, indexing, and optimization
• Experience with high availability architectures (Group Replication, Galera, ProxySQL)
• Knowledge of multi-database environment (oracle,PostgresSQL,MSSQL- added advantage).
