Database Developer

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable and high-performance database systems.
• Create and maintain ETL workflows using Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
• Develop and optimize complex stored procedures, functions, triggers, and views.
• Develop and manage reports and dashboards using Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).
• Perform database modeling, schema design, normalization, and optimization.
• Troubleshoot and improve database performance through indexing, query tuning, and partitioning.
• Work closely with developers, architects, and project managers to understand data requirements.
• Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with organizational standards.
• Manage database backups, recovery strategies, and performance monitoring.
• Build and support ETL pipelines and data integration processes.
• Handle large amounts of data efficiently, consistently, andin an optimized way
• Stay updated with emerging database technologies, automation tools, and best practices.

Skill Set:

• 3 5 years of hands-on experience as a Database Developer or Database Engineer.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills are essential.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL development.
• Experience with SSIS (Integration Services) and SSRS (Reporting Services).
• Expertise in writing and optimizing stored procedures, triggers, functions, and queries.
• Solid understanding of database design principles, normalization, and data modeling.
• Experience with performance tuning, indexing strategies, and query optimization.
• Working knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases (MSSQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
• Experience with ETL development and data pipeline management.
• Familiarity with version control systems (Git, GitHub, or GitLab).
• Good understanding of database security, encryption, and backup/recovery processes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with cloud database services (AWS RDS/Redshift/Azure SQL/GCP Cloud SQL/Big Query)
