We are seeking a best-in-class Data Steward/Metadata Specialist to join our cross-functional team to ensure consistent metadata, lineage, and business glossary management across all enterprise systems
- The role requires a strong understanding of data governance frameworks, cataloging tools, and stakeholder coordination to maintain accurate data definitions and classifications
Responsibilities
Capture, validate, and maintain metadata and CDE inventories across data domains.
Manage data catalogs and glossaries; enrich with business terms, classifications, and lineage mapping.
Support dataset documentation, version control, and stewardship workflows.
Facilitate collaboration between business users, data owners, and IT teams to ensure metadata accuracy and governance compliance.
Coordinate metadata ingestion and scanning across key platforms and repositories.
Provide stewardship reports and lineage dashboards to governance leadership.
Participate in client workshops to align metadata standards and promote catalog adoption.
Key Skills Requirements
4–6 years of experience in Data Governance, Metadata, or Stewardship roles.
Proven experience with one or more metadata tools (e.g., Microsoft Purview, Informatica Axon, Collibra, Alation).
Strong understanding of metadata models, CDE frameworks, and data classification principles.
Experience working in multi-stakeholder, client-facing environments.
Excellent communication and documentation skills.
