Job Description
Responsibilities
- Analyze structured and unstructured data to identify trends, patterns, drivers, and anomalies that impact business decisions and strategies; deliver actionable insights for leadership decision-making
- Develop machine learning algorithms (Random Forest, XGBoost and other time series models and NLP etc.) and statistical models to extract insights and forecast pipeline, bookings, revenue, expenses, and other key growth, operational, and financial metrics
- Create hypothesis around a business problem and create proof of concept models to check feasibility
- Collaborate with business partners and leadership to define KPIs, reporting requirements, and build dashboards that visualize trends, KPIs, and business drivers
- Design and build scalable analytical models, datasets, and reporting layers that support repeatable, reliable insights
- Translate complex data and analytical findings into clear narratives tailored to non technical stakeholders and executives
- Work closely with IT, business, and finance teams to ensure seamless data integration and compliance with security protocols
- Contribute to data governance initiatives, including metric ownership, data stewardship, documentation, and operational processes that impact data integrity, from data entry through reporting and analysis
- Create scalable and automated solutions to improve financial planning, forecasting, and reporting processes
- Stay informed of the latest advancements in data science, machine learning, and financial technologies
- Provide expert guidance and support to colleagues, fostering a data-driven culture within the organization
- Serve as a day-to-day analytics partner to a vendor providing an analytics suite: translate business requirements into product configuration, validate outputs, manage enhancements, issue resolution, and drive adoption with stakeholders.
- Support ongoing process improvements by identifying opportunities to automate reporting, reduce manual effort, and improve analytical efficiency
- Balance near term analytical support with longer term foundational work to strengthen the firm's data ecosystem
- Participate in the planning and budgeting process, providing data-driven insights and recommendations
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in data science, computer science, statistics, finance, or a related field
- 4+ years of relevant work experience, including supporting a United States based organization; proven experience in analytics/data science
- Proficiency in statistical techniques, machine learning models, and data visualization; strong SQL and Python skills and experience building dashboards and automated reporting
- Familiarity with APIs for data extraction and integration
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and collaborate across departments
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical team members
- Self-starter, able to formulate and conduct analysis with minimal supervision and complete projects
- Hybrid work environment
- Work hours are from approximately 4 pm to midnight local time to enable strong relationships with the US based team
- Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics CRM and revenue/finance systems (e.g., Pigment, Anaplan, Workday) is a plus; experience partnering with an external vendor analytics suite and BI/reporting platforms is also preferred
