Position - Data Quality Analyst

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute test scenarios, test cases, and test scripts for data and application testing.
• Perform functional, integration, system, regression, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure application quality and business requirements are met.
• Validate data across multiple sources using SQL by performing data validation, reconciliation, profiling, and root cause analysis.
• Verify ETL processes, data transformations, and data migrations to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
• Identify, log, track, and retest defects while collaborating with developers, business analysts, and data engineering teams to ensure timely resolution.
• Develop and maintain test documentation, including test plans, test cases, defect reports, and test execution reports.
• Validate data quality rules, business rules, dashboards, reports, and KPIs to ensure reliable and accurate reporting.
• Participate in requirement reviews and provide early feedback to improve testability and overall product quality.
• Support Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.

Required Skills

• Strong understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC), Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Hands-on experience in SQL for backend testing, data validation, and database verification.
• Good understanding of ETL testing, data warehousing concepts, and data migration testing.
• Experience in defect management and test execution using tools such as Azure DevOps, JIRA, or similar ALM platforms.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis skills.
• Experience working with Snowflake and Databricks for data validation and testing is preferred.
• Exposure to enterprise applications such as Salesforce, Workday, eFront, Paxus, or similar platforms is an added advantage.
• Familiarity with AI-powered productivity tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, GitHub Copilot, or ChatGPT) for generating SQL queries, creating test cases, improving documentation, and enhancing QA productivity.

Preferred Skills

• Hands-on experience with Snowflake and Databricks.
• Experience testing enterprise data integration, ETL, and data migration projects.
• Understanding of cloud-based data platforms and modern data architectures.
• Exposure to Fund Accounting applications and related business processes.
• Experience with API testing and validation is an added advantage.

Testing Knowledge

• Strong understanding of Functional, Integration, System, Regression, Smoke, Sanity, and UAT testing.
• Experience in backend/database testing using SQL.
• Knowledge of defect lifecycle management and test reporting.
• Understanding of Agile testing practices and Scrum framework.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Azure DevOps, JIRA, TestRail, or similar test management tools.
• Exposure to Master Data Management (MDM).
• Knowledge of Python for test automation, data validation, or scripting.
• Experience with automation testing tools such as Selenium, Playwright, or similar frameworks.
• Experience working in Agile delivery environments.
