Data Platform Engineer

Job Summary

As a Data Platform Engineer, you will assist with the data platform blueprint and design, encompassing the relevant data platform components. You will collaborate with Integration Architects and Data Architects to ensure cohesive integration between systems and data models.

A typical day involves contributing to the development and refinement of the data platform blueprint and design. This role requires close collaboration with Integration Architects and Data Architects to ensure seamless integration across various systems and data models. The position demands a proactive approach to aligning platform components with project requirements, fostering effective communication among team members, and supporting the overall architecture strategy to enable robust data solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Expected to perform independently and become an SME.
• Required active participation/contribution in team discussions.
• Contribute in providing solutions to work related problems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of data platform components with business needs.
• Assist in identifying potential risks and propose mitigation strategies related to data platform integration.
• Support junior team members by sharing knowledge and providing guidance on platform design and integration.
• Continuously monitor and evaluate the performance of data platform components to suggest improvements.

Requirements

Required Skills

• Must-Have Skills: Proficiency in Machine Learning (ML).
• Experience with data pipeline development and management.
• Strong understanding of data architecture principles and best practices.
• Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms and services.
• Ability to work with large datasets and optimize data workflows.
• Knowledge of programming languages commonly used in data engineering such as Python or Scala.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience is required.
• Specifically, the candidate should have minimum 3 years of experience in Machine Learning (ML).
• A 15 years full-time education is required.
