Job Summary
We are hiring a Senior Collibra Data Catalog & Lineage Developer for our Data Governance and Data Management team. This is a hands-on engineering role for someone who has built enterprise catalog and lineage solutions end to end — not just administered them.
You will design and deliver metadata management, cataloging, and lineage capabilities that improve data discoverability, transparency, compliance, and trust across the enterprise, including governance integration with Databricks Unity Catalog.
What You'll Do
Data Catalog & Metadata Management
- Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-wide Collibra Data Catalog solutions
- Own metadata onboarding, asset registration, and metadata lifecycle processes
- Build and maintain Business Glossaries, Data Dictionaries, Data Domains, and catalog structures
- Define metadata governance standards and best practices
Data Lineage
- Build and enhance end-to-end technical and business lineage across enterprise data platforms
- Configure Collibra Lineage integrations for source-to-target traceability and impact analysis
- Partner with Data Engineering, Architecture, and BI teams to onboard lineage from databases, ETL tools, analytics platforms, and cloud ecosystems
Collibra Platform Development
- Configure and customize the Collibra Operating Model and Metamodel
- Create and manage communities, domains, asset types, relations, attributes, and workflows
- Build automation and integrations using Collibra APIs, Workflows, and REST services
- Support platform administration, tuning, and enhancements
Reference Data & Governance
- Implement and manage Collibra Reference Data Management (RDM)
- Establish stewardship, approval, versioning, and lifecycle processes for reference data
- Work with business and governance stakeholders to drive data quality, standardization, and adoption
Databricks Unity Catalog
- Support governance, metadata management, and lineage integration for Unity Catalog
- Enable metadata synchronization, data classification, and governance controls between Collibra and Databricks
Stakeholder Engagement
- Partner with Data Owners, Stewards, Architects, Engineers, Product Owners, and business users
- Translate business requirements into scalable metadata and governance solutions
What You'll Bring
- 10–12+ years in Data Management, Data Governance, Metadata Management, or Data Analytics
- Minimum 5+ years hands-on with the Collibra Data Intelligence Platform
- Strong hands-on depth across Collibra Data Catalog, Lineage, Business Glossary, Workflow configuration, and Operating Model
- Proven experience with Collibra Metamodel customization (custom asset types, relations, attributes)
- Strong experience implementing Collibra Reference Data Management
- Working experience with Databricks Unity Catalog
- Proficiency in SQL and metadata analysis
- Experience with REST APIs, metadata integrations, and automation frameworks
- Exposure to regulated environments — BFSI, Insurance, or Healthcare
Nice to Have
- Collibra Certified Professional
- Databricks Lakehouse Platform experience
- Azure Data Lake, Snowflake, or Informatica exposure
- Python or scripting for automation
- MDM and Data Quality concepts
- Consulting or client-facing delivery experience
