Job Description
The Data Governance Expert will establish governance frameworks, policies, standards, and processes to ensure secure, managed, and compliant data usage across the enterprise.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and enforce data governance policies.
- Lead data stewardship, metadata management, and data lifecycle management.
- Implement data cataloging and classification practices.
- Manage compliance needs (HIPAA, GDPR, SOC2, etc.).
- Work with business and technical teams to ensure governance alignment.
- Experience with Collibra, Informatica EDC, Alation, etc.
- Strong understanding of data compliance and regulatory frameworks.
- Knowledge of metadata models, lineage, and governance maturity models.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
