Data Architect Snowflake & dbt

Required Skills & Experience:

• 10+ years of relevant experience in Data Engineering, Data Warehouse Development, or Data Architecture.
• Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake and dbt is mandatory.
• Experience in designing and developing scalable data warehouse and analytics solutions on Snowflake.
• Strong expertise in data architecture, solution design, and data modeling, including Dimensional Modeling, Star Schema, Snowflake Schema, and Data Vault concepts.
• Experience in designing and building ETL/ELT data pipelines, data ingestion frameworks, and transformations across heterogeneous data sources.
• Proficient in SQL programming, query optimization, and database development using Snowflake and dbt.
• Strong experience in requirements gathering, business analysis, and translating business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Experience working directly with business stakeholders and client teams, leading requirement discussions, solution walkthroughs, and technical design sessions.
• Ability to own end-to-end solution design, provide architectural guidance, and drive best practices for data engineering and analytics implementations.
• Experience with dbt for modular development, testing, documentation, and deployment.
• Good understanding of data governance, metadata management, data lineage, and impact analysis.
• Ability to capture, document, and maintain data lineage, ETL workflows, and technical documentation.
• Experience in component validation, deployment, unit testing, and production support.
• Experience working with Unix/Linux shell scripting.
• Experience with scheduling/orchestration tools such as Control-M, Autosys, Cron, or similar enterprise schedulers.
• Experience working with distributed computing systems and modern cloud-based data platforms.
• Familiarity with CI/CD, version control (Git), and Agile development methodologies is preferred.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact confidently with client stakeholders, business users, and cross-functional teams.
• Ability to mentor junior team members and contribute to solution reviews and design governance.
