Job Description

Greetings from Hexalytics!!!

About the Role

Hexalytics is looking for a seasoned Data Architect to design, build, and govern the data foundation that powers our AI-driven dashboards, data engineering, and enterprise analytics solutions. You will own the end-to-end data architecture from ingestion and modeling to warehousing, governance, and consumption ensuring our platforms turn fragmented data into reliable, real-time intelligence for our clients. This is a hands-on, strategic role that partners closely with engineering, analytics, and business teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and own the enterprise data architecture strategy, standards, and roadmap across ingestion, storage, processing, and consumption layers.
  • Design scalable, secure, and high-performance data models (conceptual, logical, and physical) for data warehouses, data lakes, and lakehouse architectures.
  • Architect and oversee ETL/ELT pipelines and data integration frameworks across structured, semi-structured, and streaming sources.
  • Select and standardize the data technology stack (cloud platforms, warehousing, orchestration, transformation tools) and guide implementation best practices.
  • Establish data governance, quality, lineage, security, and master data management (MDM) frameworks in line with compliance requirements.
  • Optimize data platforms for performance, cost, scalability, and reliability.
  • Collaborate with data engineers, BI developers, and analysts to ensure architecture supports dashboarding and advanced analytics/AI use cases.
  • Partner with business and client stakeholders to translate requirements into robust data solutions.
  • Define and enforce data modeling standards, naming conventions, and documentation practices.
  • Evaluate emerging tools and technologies, and lead proofs of concept where relevant.
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to data engineers and developers.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Over all 15+ years of experience.
  • 10 to 12 years of experience in data engineering/architecture, with at least 4 years in a data architect capacity.
  • Strong expertise in data modeling (dimensional, 3NF, data vault) and data warehouse/lakehouse design.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, Google BigQuery, Amazon Redshift, or Azure Synapse.
  • Proficiency in SQL and one or more programming languages (Python, Scala, or Java).
  • Deep experience with ETL/ELT tools and orchestration (e.g., dbt, Apache Airflow, Spark, Kafka, Azure Data Factory, or similar).
  • Solid understanding of data governance, security, metadata management, and data quality frameworks.
  • Experience designing data solutions to support BI and analytics tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker) and semantic/reporting layers.
  • Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and modern data architecture patterns.
  • Strong stakeholder management and the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

Preferred / Good to Have

  • Experience enabling AI/ML and advanced analytics workloads on enterprise data platforms.
  • Knowledge of real-time/streaming architectures.
  • Experience with CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, and DataOps practices.
  • Exposure to data privacy and compliance standards (GDPR, HIPAA, SOC 2, etc.).
  • Relevant certifications (Snowflake, Databricks, AWS/Azure/GCP data specialties).
