Develop crop yield and price forecasting models
Develop pest and disease forecast models
Use satellite-based indices, weather data, crop images, and other information to estimate crop health, pest
and disease loads
Testing and calibration of crop models to give more accurate yield estimates across different geographies
Prepare reports capturing above models as per client requirements
Handle a team of 3 Junior analysts who are working on above-given aspects.

Skills and Experience

Strong analytical, modelling,communication, team and project management skills.
Proficient in statistical techniques especially regression, variable analysis, parametric distribution fitting, and testing.
Working knowledge of Excel and any higher programming language(Python,R, and Matlab).
Familiarity with the applications of satellite imagery and remote sensing data.
Detail-oriented, quick learner with very strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a high degree of self-motivation.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively with the team of colleagues across several teams and offices
Ability to schedule and prioritize the project tasks; and assign the project tasks to the team member as per their skills and monitor

Educational Qualifications

Required Traits

Working knowledge of Excel and higher programming language (Python, R or Matlab).
Strong knowledge of stochastic, statistical and simulation models for crop modeling.
