Data Analyst

Role Overview:

• We at VIAPROM are seeking a highly analytical and technically strong Data Analyst with 4-5 years of hands-on experience in the Banking domain.
• The ideal candidate must possess expert-level SQL skills and strong Python programming experience to analyze large-scale banking data, build data pipelines, automate reporting, and generate actionable business insights.
• The candidate should have experience working with banking datasets such as CASA, Loans, Deposits, Customer, Transactions, KYC, Risk, Compliance, Treasury.
• Candidates from non-banking domains will not be considered.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• 1. Analyze large volumes of banking data to identify trends, business opportunities, and operational improvements.
• 2. Write highly optimized SQL queries, stored procedures, CTEs, window functions, and complex joins to extract and manipulate data.
• 3. Develop Python scripts for data cleaning, transformation, automation, and advanced analytics.
• 4. Design and maintain ETL processes for integrating data from multiple banking systems.
• 5. Create dashboards and reports to support business, operations, risk, and management teams.
• 6. Work closely with business stakeholders to understand reporting and analytical requirements.
• 7. Perform root cause analysis on business issues using data-driven approaches.
• 8. Validate data quality, ensure data accuracy, and resolve inconsistencies.

Desired Candidate Skills:

• 1. Have 4-5 years of relevant Data Analyst experience exclusively in the Banking domain.
• 2. Are exceptionally strong in SQL and can write complex, optimized queries without assistance.
• 3. Are proficient in Python for data analysis, automation, and transformation.
• 4. Can independently analyze business problems and provide data-driven recommendations.
• 5. Possess excellent analytical, logical, and problem-solving skills.
• 6. Can communicate technical findings effectively to business stakeholders.
• 7. Are detail-oriented and capable of handling large, complex datasets.

Preferred Skills

• 1. 4-5 years of Data Analyst experience.
• 2. Banking domain experience is mandatory.
• 3. Expert-level SQL skills.
• 4. Strong Python programming skills.
• 5. Hands-on experience working with large banking datasets.
• 6. Experience with Power BI or Tableau.
• 7. Strong understanding of data analysis and reporting.
