Data Analyst Intern

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement data processing pipelines for efficient data extraction, transformation and loading (ETL) tasks
• Utilize advanced SQL queries to extract and manipulate data from relational databases
• Design and implement data quality checks and validation processes to ensure accuracy.
• Apply machine learning algorithms for predictive modeling and pattern recognition
• Collaborate with IT teams to optimize data storage, retrieval, and overall system performance
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of data repositories and data warehousing solutions
• Work closely with data architects to enhance data infrastructure
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R for data analysis and scripting tasks

Key Competencies:

• Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and database management systems
• Knowledge of statistical analysis, data visualization tools, hypothesis testing and regression analysis
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) for collaborative coding
• Familiarity with financial concepts and instruments, such as market data and trading
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and their data services
• Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
• Conceptual clarity of containerization tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
