Cybersecurity Engineer - Akamai Guardicore Micro Segmentation

Role & responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, and manage Akamai Guardicore Centra platform components
  
• Create and manage microsegmentation policies based on application dependency mapping
  
• Monitor east-west traffic visibility and enforce segmentation controls
  
• Perform policy tuning, rule optimization, and troubleshooting
  
• Work with server, cloud, and application teams for workload onboarding
  
• Support segmentation for data center, virtualized, and cloud environments
  
• Analyze traffic flows and recommend Zero Trust segmentation strategies
  
• Integrate Guardicore with SIEM, identity, and security tools where required
  
• Assist in incident investigation and containment using segmentation controls
  
• Prepare operational documentation, SOPs, and implementation reports
  
• Participate in security assessments, audits, and compliance activities

Preferred candidate profile

• Experience working in enterprise or managed security environments
  
• Exposure to cloud workload protection and segmentation projects
  
• Knowledge of hybrid cloud security architectures
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Security, IT, or related field
• Experience in Linux and Windows server environments
  
• Understanding of virtualization technologies such as VMware
  
• Knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP
  
• Experience in troubleshooting network and security issues
  
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills
