Role: Cybersecurity Consultant VAPT & IT Audit Support

Role Summary

• Support Vulnerability Assessment & Penetration Testing (VAPT) engagements in coordination with external vendors.
• Experience in Cybersecurity audits preferred.
• Contribute to development of cybersecurity frameworks, policies, and SOPs aligned to leading standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Support planning, execution, and review of VAPT engagements (infrastructure, network, applications).
• Act as internal technical liaison for VAPT vendors; review findings, validate vulnerabilities, assess risk and business impact.
• Track remediation actions and support closure validation.
• Assist in creation and maintenance of cybersecurity policies, procedures, and frameworks (ISO 27001 / NIST CSF).
• Knowledge in Data privacy will be added advantage, though not mandatory
• Creation of IT SOPs for client based on frameworks (preferred)

Skills & Tools

• Good understanding of VAPT methodologies, OWASP Top 10, CVSS.
• Exposure to tools such as Nessus, Qualys, Nmap, Burp Suite, Kali.
• Familiarity with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk) is a plus.
• Strong documentation and stakeholder communication skills.
• Demonstrates a strong work ethic, positive attitude, effective communication skills to collaborate with teams

Preferred candidate profile

Experience & Qualifications

• 3–4 years of experience in cybersecurity, VAPT, IT audit, or cyber risk roles.
• Consulting or audit firm experience preferred.
• Certifications such as CEH, CISM, CISA, ISO 27001 – good to have (not mandatory).
