Role Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Cybersecurity Assessment & Certification Specialist to join our Certification Assessment team.This role is ideal for Cybersecurity Professors, Faculty Members, Technical Trainers, Researchers, Certification Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), or experienced Cybersecurity Professionals who have a passion for creating high-quality assessment content and are interested in transitioning into a corporate environment.
The primary responsibility is to design, review, validate, and finalize certification exam content that accurately evaluates real-world cybersecurity knowledge and skills. You will work closely with subject matter experts and lead assessment initiatives for globally recognized cybersecurity certifications.
Key Responsibilities:
Assessment & Certification Development
- Design and develop certification exam questions across multiple cybersecurity domains.
- Create scenario-based, case study-based, and practical assessment questions.
- Develop multiple-choice, multiple-response, matching, sequencing, and other assessment formats.
- Ensure all assessment content aligns with certification objectives, exam blueprints, and industry standards.
Content Review & Validation
- Review, edit, and validate certification questions for technical accuracy and clarity.
- Ensure assessments effectively measure candidates' practical cybersecurity knowledge.
- Maintain consistency, fairness, and quality across all certification content.
- Update and improve existing question banks based on evolving cybersecurity trends.
Subject Matter Expertise
- Translate cybersecurity concepts into competency-based assessment content.
- Stay current with emerging technologies, threat landscapes, security frameworks, and industry best practices.
- Support the development and enhancement of certification programs.
Collaboration
- Work closely with internal SMEs, technical writers, instructional designers, and certification teams.
- Participate in content review sessions and quality assurance activities.
- Mentor junior assessment developers where required.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5–6 years of hands-on experience in Cybersecurity, with exposure to technical training, academia, certification development, or assessment creation.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity domains such as Network Security, Cloud Security, Application Security, Ethical Hacking, Digital Forensics, SOC, Incident Response, GRC, or related areas.
- Experience developing, reviewing, validating, or maintaining question banks, university examinations, certification assessments, or technical evaluation content.
- Excellent technical writing, editing, and communication skills.
- Ability to convert complex cybersecurity concepts into clear, practical, and competency-based assessment questions.
