About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and technically skilled Cyber Security Specialist with 2 to 4 years of hands on experience in implementing, monitoring, and supporting cybersecurity solutions. The candidate will be responsible for protecting organizational assets, identifying security risks, supporting security operations, and assisting in incident response activities across enterprise environments.
The ideal candidate should possess practical experience in network security, endpoint security, vulnerability management, security monitoring, and cybersecurity best practices.
Key Responsibilities
Security Operations
- Monitor security alerts and incidents through SIEM, EDR, XDR, and other security platforms.
- Investigate security events and perform initial incident triage.
- Support incident response activities and remediation efforts.
- Conduct log analysis to identify suspicious activities and security threats.
- Escalate critical incidents as per defined procedures.
Vulnerability Management
- Perform vulnerability assessments using industry standard tools.
- Analyze vulnerability reports and recommend remediation measures.
- Coordinate with IT teams to ensure timely closure of identified vulnerabilities.
- Conduct periodic security posture reviews.
Network Security
- Assist in deployment and management of firewalls, VPNs, IDS, IPS, and web security solutions.
- Review firewall rules and security policies.
- Monitor network traffic for anomalous activities.
- Support network segmentation and security hardening initiatives.
Endpoint Security
- Manage and monitor endpoint protection solutions.
- Investigate malware detections and endpoint security incidents.
- Ensure security agents are properly deployed and operational.
Security Compliance & Governance
- Assist in implementation of security controls aligned with ISO 27001, NIST, CIS Controls, and regulatory requirements.
- Support internal and external audits.
- Maintain security documentation, reports, and evidence repositories.
- Participate in risk assessment activities.
Security Awareness
- Support user awareness initiatives and phishing simulations.
- Educate users on cybersecurity best practices.
- Assist in preparing awareness materials and training sessions.
Documentation & Reporting
- Create incident reports, assessment reports, and security findings.
- Maintain asset inventories and security documentation.
- Prepare periodic security dashboards and management reports.
