Cyber Security Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Cybersecurity Engineer to design, implement, and maintain security solutions to protect our organization's IT infrastructure, applications, and data. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in information security, threat detection, incident response, and risk mitigation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and monitor security controls across on-prem and cloud environments.
  
• Perform threat modeling, vulnerability assessments, and risk analysis.
  
• Configure and manage security tools (e.g., firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, endpoint protection).
  
• Investigate and respond to security incidents and breaches.
  
• Implement and enforce policies related to information security and data privacy.
  
• Collaborate with IT and development teams to ensure secure application development (DevSecOps).
  
• Conduct regular security audits, assessments, and penetration tests.
  
• Maintain documentation related to security architecture, procedures, and incident reports.
  
• Stay up-to-date with the latest security threats, trends, and technologies.
  
• Participate in security awareness training and company-wide education efforts.

Required Skills:

• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, networking, firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and web proxies.
  
• Proficiency in using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar, ELK, Sentinel).
  
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and their native security services.
  
• Familiarity with industry standards (NIST, ISO 27001, CIS Controls, OWASP).
  
• Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
  
• Experience in log analysis, threat detection, and incident response.
