Cyber Security Engineer

Roles & Responsibilities

• Support the implementation, integration, and commissioning of cybersecurity solutions across the private cloud infrastructure.
• Assist in monitoring the progress of cybersecurity implementation activities and coordinate with internal teams for timely completion.
• Provide L2 operational support for cybersecurity infrastructure, including Firewalls, WAF, IPS, SIEM, IAM/PAM, Endpoint Security, and DDoS solutions.
• Coordinate with Application Providers to implement application-specific security requirements.
• Monitor the health and performance of cybersecurity infrastructure and ensure service availability.
• Troubleshoot security incidents, analyze logs, perform RCA, and coordinate with OEMs or L3 teams for issue resolution.
• Coordinate with the SOC team for incident investigation, escalation, and timely closure of security incidents.
• Work closely with IT Infrastructure, Network, Cloud, and Application teams to resolve security-related issues.
• Support the remote SOC team in security monitoring, SIEM use case tuning, log source onboarding, and configuration updates.
• Perform routine security administration, including policy updates, user access management, firmware upgrades, signature updates, and security patch implementation.
• Assist in vulnerability remediation, compliance activities, security audits, and periodic health checks.
• Maintain operational documentation, SOPs, incident records, and change management documentation.
• Participate in scheduled maintenance activities and provide support during planned changes and emergency incidents.

• Experience working on at least one large-scale cybersecurity implementation project.
• Experience in Private Cloud or Data Center cybersecurity environments will be preferred.
• Hands-on experience with one or more of the following technologies:
• Next-Generation Firewalls (NGFW)
• Web Application Firewall (WAF)
• Intrusion Prevention System (IPS)
• SIEM/SOC
• Identity & Access Management (IAM/PAM)
• Endpoint Security
• DDoS Protection
• Vulnerability Management
• Good understanding of networking concepts, TCP/IP, routing, switching, VPNs, and security best practices.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.
