Summary:
Sr. Android SystemUI Developer you will develop and configure software systems, either end-to-end or for specific stages of the product lifecycle. Your typical day will involve applying your knowledge of various technologies, applications, methodologies, processes, and tools to support clients and projects, ensuring that software solutions meet the required specifications and quality standards. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and contribute to the overall success of the software development process.

Roles Responsibilities:

In-depth knowledge of Android core building blocks/ app fundamentals and their lifecycles.

Practical experience in using Jetpack Compose and proficient in Java and Kotlin programming languages

Hands on expertise in developing/customizing Android SystemUI

Hands on expertise in using Car UI Library, resource overlays, AOSP theming

Contribute to android platforms powering automotive infotainment systems.

Technically leading Team(s).

Develop architecture concepts and drive architecture decisions.

Working on the android platform level (with prior experience, also possible from outside automotive, e.g. mobile phones).

Regularly catch up with latest android platform technologies presented on Google s conferences / bootcamps.

Get involved in the full lifecycle of software development to build best-in-class experience information and entertainment applications.

A desire to learn new things and the ability to understand complex systems.

Responsible for complex troubleshooting issues and resolving them.

Get involved in building best-in-class system user interface.

Fundamentals in Custom Android HALs

Expert in Android component: Services, Broadcast receivers, content providers

Advanced in Custom Android OS extension (a.k.a. SDK Addons)

Fundamentals in C++ 11,14,17

Fundamentals in Linux

Advanced in Android Version Migrations (executing update 1/year)

Expert in Version Control Tools (Git, Gerrit)

Advanced in Version Control Tools (Github)

Expert in Multi-Threaded Porgramming

Fundamentals in Middleware Solution Development OS Concepts

Advanced in OO design patterns

Advanced in Core Java

Fundamentals in NDK
