Curriculum Developer

Role & responsibilities

• Develop lesson plans aligned with educational standards.
• Create comprehensive and engaging lesson materials that accompany school textbooks.
• Work closely with subject matter experts (SMEs) to ensure the accuracy and relevance of content.
• Adapt content to various grade levels and learning abilities, ensuring inclusivity and diversity.
• Integrate digital tools, multimedia resources, and hands-on activities to make lessons dynamic.
• Collaborate with teachers and educational professionals to assess the effectiveness of lesson plans.
• Revise and update lesson plans as needed to reflect changes in curricula or standards.
• Develop assessments, quizzes, and other formative/summative evaluation tools.
• Ensure that lesson plans foster critical thinking, creativity, and student engagement.
• Maintain consistent communication with editorial and project management teams to meet deadlines.

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Curriculum Design, or related field (Masters preferred).
• 2-5 years of experience in curriculum development, instructional design, or teaching.
• Strong understanding of pedagogy, learning theories, and educational best practices.
• Familiarity with state/national standards.
• Proficiency in using educational technology and digital platforms.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to create diverse, equitable, and inclusive lesson plans.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Experience in K-12 education (preferred).
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
