Job Summary:
The Contracts Engineer will be responsible for managing all aspects of the contracts associated with Tecnimonts engineering, procurement, and construction projects. This individual will work closely with project managers, legal counsel, and other stakeholders to ensure that all contracts are completed in a timely and efficient manner, while also managing any potential risks associated with the contracts.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Contract Negotiation: Lead negotiations with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure that all terms and conditions are in line with company policies and standards.
2. Contract Administration: Manage the lifecycle of contracts, from initial request for proposal through contract award, compliance, and closeout. This includes drafting, reviewing, and finalizing contract documents as well as managing any changes or amendments that may occur during the project lifecycle.
3. Risk Management: Identify and assess potential risks associated with contracts, and work with project teams to develop and implement risk mitigation strategies.
4. Compliance: Ensure that all contracts adhere to company policies, legal requirements, and industry standards.
5. Relationship Management: Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to promote successful project outcomes and future business opportunities.
6. Reporting: Generate and maintain accurate and up-to-date reports on contract status, costs, and performance metrics.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in business, law, or a related field (Masters degree preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in contracts management, preferably within the engineering, procurement, and construction industry
- Strong negotiation skills and experience with complex contract terms and conditions
- Knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements related to contracts and business operations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
