Purpose:

CEEW seeks to hire a Consultant for the TechnologyFutures team. The individual would be responsible for actively engaging withthe Ministry of Mines through knowledge support on critical minerals. Theindividual would also be required to engage with other relevant stakeholders inindustry, academia, and civil society.
In the process he\/she would need toconnect the work on critical minerals with relevant research programmes atTechnology Futures and at CEEW. The successful applicant will utilise theteamesearch on critical minerals to inform policies and other supportingactivities. The candidate will conceptualise and identify policyrecommendations to support Indian policymakers on development of criticalminerals value chain in India and securing these minerals for the domesticindustry.
We are looking for an experienced professional withhands\-on experience and sectoral understanding, to manage build the Council\engagement with the Ministry of Mines on critical minerals. He\/She should beable to connect the dots across many moving parts and look for innovative waysto conduct and socialise research with the key decision makers.

Job Duties and Accountabilities

Track latest developments in the criticalminerals sector at the national and international level.

Provide research and policy inputs to theMinistry of Mines regarding the development of critical minerals sector.

Support the Ministry of Mines with stakeholderengagement, communication and coordination support concerning relevant workstreams on critical minerals.

Work closely with sectoral experts at TechnologyFutures and other teams to develop short briefs and presentations with insightsand actionable recommendations.

Track best practices of other countries wherecritical minerals sector has flourished.

Build necessary networks with other keystakeholders in the government, industry, venture capitalists, technologystartups, academia and research institutions. Leverage the network to informrecommendations on critical minerals.

Develop research outputs in various forms suchas publications, journal papers, presentations reports, op\-eds, and articles.

To participate in relevant conferences,workshops, training programmes as necessary to communicate research findingsand gain insights on new research in focus areas.

Support efforts to use new media platforms forthe wide dissemination of CEEWs work and, in turn, closer engagement with thewider community.

Education

Strong academic credentials, Master\degree preferably in publicpolicy\/ economics\/environmental economics\/statistics, design thinkingand innovations, behavioural sciences and publicpolicy.

Work Experience and Key Skill Requirements

3\-5 years ofexperience in the field of public policy, strategic communications,government and public services.

Sound understanding of the relevant fields of study , and relatedpolicy environment.

Experience havingsupported government projects on sustainability, climate change, renewablesetc.

Strong writing,networking and communication skills.

Experience in dealingwith public and private institutions within and outside India.

Other Skills

Ability to adapt tonew environment and deliver under tight deadlines in a professional environment
