Job Description
- Understand client and project requirements.
- Demonstrate a good level of knowledge and judgment, to develop well-reasoned and researched solutions on client issues.
- Assist in preparation of high quality consulting/research proposals, concept notes, tools for studies/research and monitoring and evaluation.
- Assist the team in planning, executing and closing of projects.
- Conduct primary/secondary research to gather information as per project requirements.
- Conduct field visits as per project requirements.
- Collate and analyze data and prepare high quality reports.
- Assist the team in execution of multiple engagements and competing priorities.
- Ensure quality and conceptual rigor across the practice in a consistent manner.
- Demonstrate technical competence in thematic areas / functional domains and gain specialization in a particular area of expertise.
- Seek and implement continuous improvements in all aspects of functioning.
- Effective mentorship and transfer of knowledge to subordinates.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION EXPERIENCE
- Post graduate preferably in social sciences or equivalent or MBA from a premier institution with a strong academic background.
- Minimum 2-4 years of relevant experience after post-graduation in a reputed management consulting firm or development sector organization.
- Experience in project management and implementation preferable.
- Experience in researcher, knowledge management with high proficiency in data analysis and reporting preferable.
- Multi-sectoral experience (Corporate Social Responsibility, Education, Health, and Skill Development, Livelihood, NRM, Health and Nutrition, Human Rights, Gender) would be a significant advantage.
- Exposure to and familiarity with responding to social sector consulting RFPs/ EoIs/ Tender documents of the UN country team (UNICEF, UN Women, UNDP), The World Bank, IFC, ADB and other Government Departments etc. will be preferable.
REQUIRED ABILITIES PROFICIENCIES
- Experience in social research, program design, monitoring and evaluation would be preferable.
- Proven abilities in client retention and client servicing.
- Ability to meet deadlines.
- Exposure to development sector consulting space.
- Proficiency in computers -MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.
- Proficiency in writing reports and documenting information.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
