About Us
The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), established in 1895, is a membership-based organization championing the interests of Indian industry and actively contributing to India's development. Representing over 9000 members spanning both private and public sectors, including SMEs and MNCs, CII's influence extends to an indirect membership of over 300,000 enterprises through 294 national and regional sectoral industry bodies. CII drives change by collaborating closely with the government on policy formulation, engaging with thought leaders, and enhancing industry efficiency, competitiveness, and business prospects. This is achieved through specialized services and strategic global connections. Furthermore, CII fosters consensus-building and facilitates networking on critical issues, serving as a vital platform for dialogue and collaboration within the Indian industrial landscape.
