Commodity Buyer

Responsibilities

• Strategy (Roadmap to support overall corporate objective)
• Sourcing (time bound, early engagement, maximizing savings against G2 targets, CFT alignment)
• YOY agreements / PPV (Aligned to global targets with key focus on VEI plant)
• Supplier management (Quality, delivery and supply escalations, NPD support, plant requirements)
• Contract management Strategy (SNL adherence, unexpected impacts, additional Opps)

Recurring Tasks

• Achieve PPV, payment term, Inco term and cash management performance
• Permanently challenging the supply base in terms of pricing and competition
• Permanently observe the market for key innovators and challengers
• Establish very good relationships with key suppliers
• Organize strategic reviews with suppliers
• Build and align supplier strategies with a cross functional team
• Negotiate commercial supplier claims
• Push critical thinking, challenge suppliers and stakeholders
• Build a team which is capable to drive benchmark commercial performance
• Very good understanding of technology and processes
• Use of systems and IT tools to manage process complexity and adherence
