Commissioned Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in commissioning of Siemens PLC systems (S7-1200, S7-1500, S7-300/400) under supervision of senior engineers.
• Support configuration and testing of HMI/SCADA systems such as TP700/TP1500, WinCC Comfort/Advanced, WinCC SCADA, WinCC Unified.
• Gain exposure to commissioning and maintenance activities of PCS7 / DCS systems.
• Assist with I/O testing, loop checks, and instrument calibration verification.
• Support logic testing, interlock validation, and cause & effect testing under guidance.
• Learn and assist in verifying field communication over PROFINET, PROFIBUS, Modbus TCP/RTU, Ethernet/IP, OPC, etc.
• Assist in preparation and execution of FAT (Factory Acceptance Test) and SAT (Site Acceptance Test) documentation.
• Support diagnosis of basic issues in PLC-HMI communication, network configuration, and field instrumentation, under mentorship.
• Assist in troubleshooting simple communication issues like TCP port blocking, network conflicts, device faults, and I/O module issues.
• Provide on-ground support during plant start-up, shutdown, and troubleshooting activities as part of the execution team.
• Assist in preparing commissioning reports, test sheets, loop test documents, and punch lists.
• Support updates to As Built” logic, HMI screens, and documentation.
• Develop working knowledge of industry standards such as IEC, EN 61131-3, and SIL requirements (as applicable).
• Follow company safety standards and actively participate in safety audits and training.
• Coordinate with project teams, execution team, and CFT team to support on-time project completion.
• Assist in client interactions for commissioning updates under supervision of senior team members.
• Shadow senior engineers to learn how to provide basic training to operators/maintenance staff on Siemens systems.

Desired Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech in Instrumentation, Electrical, Electronics, or a related Engineering discipline.
• 0–1 year of experience; freshers with relevant academic projects or internships are encouraged to apply.
• Basic understanding of PLC, SCADA/HMI, and industrial automation concepts (academic or internship exposure preferred).
• Willingness to travel to project/plant sites for commissioning support.
