Job Description
We are looking for a highly skilled Commis Pastry to join our team at Joncia Marine Services. The ideal candidate will have excellent culinary skills and be able to work well under pressure.
Roles and Responsibility
- Assist the pastry chef in planning and preparing high-quality pastries, cakes, and desserts.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety standards.
- Develop new recipes and menus to keep culinary offerings fresh and innovative.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed.
- Ensure all food products meet quality and presentation standards before serving.
Job Requirements
- Proven experience as a Commis Pastry or similar role in a professional kitchen setting.
- Strong knowledge of pastry dough preparation, baking techniques, and decorating methods.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, meeting deadlines and managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues.
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment and tools, including ovens, mixers, and refrigerators.
- Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality results.
