Key Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation and cooking of menu items according to recipes and standards.
Prepare ingredients, including washing, chopping, peeling, and portioning.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations and kitchen equipment.
Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards at all times.
Ensure proper storage and labeling of food items.
Monitor stock levels and inform supervisors of shortages.
Support chefs during service to ensure timely food preparation.
Minimize food waste by following portion control guidelines.
Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
Assist in receiving, checking, and storing kitchen supplies.
Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to achieve operational goals.
Perform other duties assigned by the Chef or Kitchen Supervisor.

Required Skills

Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques.
Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards (HACCP knowledge is an advantage).

Qualifications

Basic understanding of commercial kitchen operations.

Rotational shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
