Comic Book Designer

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and illustrate comic books, graphic novels, webcomics, and other visual storytelling content.
• Develop characters, backgrounds, props, and environments based on creative briefs.
• Create comic page layouts, panel compositions, speech bubbles, and typography.
• Produce high-quality digital illustrations while maintaining consistency in visual style and branding.
• Handle color grading, shading, lighting, and rendering to enhance artwork quality.
• Use AI-powered design tools and effective prompting techniques for concept generation and artwork refinement.
• Edit and retouch illustrations using Adobe Photoshop and create vector assets using Adobe Illustrator.
• Manage multiple projects while meeting quality standards and deadlines.

Key Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in comic book design, illustration, or graphic storytelling
• Strong portfolio showcasing comic pages, character designs, and sequential art Expert proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator
• Hands-on experience with AI design tools such as Adobe Firefly, Midjourney, ChatGPT, Leonardo AI, Stable Diffusion, or similar
• Strong AI prompting skills for creative asset generation
• Good understanding of color grading, lighting, composition, anatomy, and perspective
• Knowledge of typography and comic page layouts
• Strong creativity, attention to detail, and visual storytelling skills
• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Science.
• Equivalent practical experience with a strong portfolio may also be considered
